Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, major engine overhauling, and complex mechanical repairs according to OEM standards.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic scanners and specialized workshop tools.
- Ensure 'First Time Right' (FTR) service delivery to minimize repeat complaints and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians and apprentices on the shop floor to improve overall team productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all repair work, parts used, and labor hours within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Adhere to strict workshop safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness and tool organization.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide accurate technical estimates and timelines for vehicle repairs.
Requirements
- 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automobile workshop or service center.
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Proficiency in using pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on collective targets.
Preferred
- Previous experience with a major passenger car or two-wheeler OEM brand.
- Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage systems and safety.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting post-repair test drives.
