This leadership role focuses on overseeing the daily operations of the service floor to ensure peak operational efficiency and high-quality vehicle repairs. It involves managing a diverse team of technicians and advisors while maintaining strict adherence to OEM standards and driving workshop profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop operations including bay allocation, job card flow, and technician productivity to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff to meet dealership KPIs.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM technical protocols, service processes, and safety standards.
- Monitor and control workshop expenses, including consumable usage and tool maintenance costs.
- Analyze workshop performance reports to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for better throughput.
- Handle escalated customer grievances regarding technical issues or service delays to maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Oversee the maintenance of diagnostic equipment, specialized tools, and overall workshop cleanliness (5S standards).
- Coordinate with the Spare Parts department to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize vehicle downtime.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in automotive service operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and workshop scheduling software.
- Strong technical understanding of modern automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Proven track record of managing a team of 15+ technical staff members.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and clean driving record.
Preferred
- Experience working with a leading Passenger Vehicle (PV) or Commercial Vehicle (CV) OEM dealership.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience in handling high-volume service centers with 50+ daily entries.

Qualifications
Education
B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering; Diploma holders with extensive experience will be considered.
Experience

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the dealership workshop. The environment is fast-paced and requires presence on the shop floor. Standard working hours are 6 days a week, typically from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
