This role is responsible for driving the performance of the dealership sales force by designing and delivering high-impact training programs. It focuses on enhancing product knowledge, refining sales techniques, and ensuring the sales team delivers a world-class customer experience in alignment with OEM standards.
Conduct comprehensive product training for new launches, including technical specifications, USPs, and competitive benchmarking.
Deliver end-to-end sales process training covering prospecting, vehicle demonstration, objection handling, and closing techniques.
Perform regular On-the-Job Training (OJT) by shadowing Sales Consultants during live customer interactions to provide real-time coaching.
Identify skill gaps through performance data analysis and conduct targeted Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the sales team.
Develop and update training modules, manuals, and visual aids in accordance with the latest market trends and OEM guidelines.
Monitor and manage the certification levels of Sales Consultants and Team Leaders to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Organize workshops on soft skills, corporate etiquette, and CRM usage to improve lead management and customer retention.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align training objectives with monthly and quarterly sales targets.
5 to 8 years of experience in Sales Training or Sales Management within the Indian Automotive industry.
In-depth knowledge of the Indian passenger vehicle or two-wheeler market and consumer psychology.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in regional languages along with Hindi and English to facilitate effective communication.
Willingness to travel extensively across dealership locations for on-site training sessions.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint for creating training decks and Excel for data reporting.
Prior experience working directly with a major Automotive OEM or a large-scale dealership group.
Certified Trainer credentials from a recognized body or an Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC).
Experience in digital sales training and virtual classroom management.
Strong understanding of automotive finance and insurance (F&I) processes.

Certifications: Train the Trainer (TTT) Certification, OEM Product Certification, Soft Skills Training Certification (Optional)
On-site role involving frequent travel to various dealership outlets; standard 6-day work week applies.
High-performing candidates can transition into roles such as Regional Training Manager, National Training Head, or move into Senior Sales Operations and Dealer Development roles.
