This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical repair services for vehicles to ensure maximum roadworthiness and customer safety. It involves troubleshooting complex automotive issues and performing routine maintenance while adhering strictly to manufacturer-prescribed protocols within a high-volume service center.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter replacements according to OEM schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspection.
- Repair or replace worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and suspension components.
- Conduct engine and transmission overhauling or component repairs as per the job card instructions.
- Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness and ensure all specialized tools are stored and maintained correctly.
- Provide accurate technical feedback to Service Advisors to assist in customer cost estimations.
- Document all labor hours and parts utilized within the Dealer Management System (DMS) for precise billing.
- Ensure all safety protocols and 5S standards are followed diligently on the workshop floor.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized passenger car or commercial vehicle dealership.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle subsystems, including engines, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license to perform post-repair test drives.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a high-intensity workshop environment.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week and follow rotational shift timings.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra authorized service centers.
- Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) battery systems and high-voltage safety.
- Familiarity with specialized diagnostic scanners like Bosch or OEM-specific tools.
