This role involves performing high-quality vehicle maintenance and complex mechanical repairs in a fast-paced authorized workshop environment. The focus is on ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and adherence to manufacturer-specified service standards to maximize customer satisfaction.
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections as per the Job Card.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic tools and scanners.
Execute major and minor repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, and steering systems.
Ensure all repair work is completed within the stipulated Turnaround Time (TAT) while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work bay following 5S principles and safety protocols.
Document all technical findings, parts used, and work performed accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Conduct road tests to verify repair effectiveness and ensure vehicle performance meets safety benchmarks.
Collaborate with the Service Advisor and Workshop Manager to provide technical estimates for additional repairs.
1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Basic understanding of BS-VI engine technology and automotive electronics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams.
A valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
Willingness to work in a 6-day work week schedule.
Prior experience with premium or luxury automotive brands.
Valid OEM certification.
Knowledge of wheel alignment, balancing, and tire changing equipment.
Exposure to Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety and components.

Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a workshop environment
Certifications: ITI/NCTVT Certification, OEM Technical Training Certificates (preferred)
Standard authorized workshop setting with on-site operations. 6 days a week, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM shift.
Technicians have a clear career path from Junior Technician to Senior Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, and eventually Workshop Supervisor or Service Manager roles within the dealership network.
