This role involves driving retail sales through proactive lead generation and providing high-quality vehicle demonstrations to prospective buyers. It requires managing the entire customer journey from the first inquiry to final vehicle delivery while maintaining the highest standards of brand representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, field visits, and managing showroom walk-ins
- Conduct professional vehicle demonstrations and accompany customers on test drives while explaining technical features
- Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Dealer Management System (DMS) daily with accurate lead data
- Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to facilitate loan processing and insurance documentation for customers
- Negotiate pricing and terms within authorized limits to close sales while ensuring dealership profitability
- Manage the end-to-end vehicle delivery process, including PDI coordination and conducting the delivery ceremony
- Follow up with existing customers for referrals and ensure high post-sales satisfaction scores
- Stay updated on competitor products, pricing, and market trends to provide effective counter-arguments during sales pitches
Requirements
- Graduate degree in any stream (B.Com, BBA, B.A., B.Sc.)
- Valid permanent four-wheeler driving license is mandatory
- 3-5 years of proven experience in automotive retail sales or high-value consumer durables
- Fluency in the local language and working knowledge of English
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed monthly sales targets
- Professional appearance and a customer-centric attitude
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a leading OEM (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.)
- Certification in automotive sales or professional selling skills
- Knowledge of local RTO regulations and automotive insurance processes
- Experience using digital lead management tools and social media for prospecting
