Acts as the primary liaison between vehicle owners and the technical workshop team to facilitate high-quality maintenance and repair services. Focuses on delivering expert technical advice, managing customer expectations, and driving service revenue through proactive communication.
Conducting detailed vehicle walk-around inspections and opening Job Cards using standard digital checklists.
Providing accurate cost estimates and timelines for repairs while explaining technical issues in simple terms to customers.
Coordinating with the floor supervisor and technicians to ensure service quality and timely vehicle delivery.
Promoting and selling value-added services such as Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), extended warranties, and specialized treatments.
Managing the insurance claim process for accidental repairs, including documentation and coordination with surveyors.
Handling customer grievances professionally to ensure high scores in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Post Service Feedback (PSF).
Maintaining and updating customer interaction data and service history accurately within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Explaining the final invoice in detail during vehicle delivery to ensure transparency and trust.
1-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an authorized automotive dealership.
In-depth knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and spare parts.
Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline, SAP, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication skills in the local language and functional English.
Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting road tests with customers.
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities.
Experience working with major OEMs (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or similar).
Knowledge of IRDA norms for motor insurance claims.
Certification from an OEM for Service Advisor standards.
Vehicle Diagnostics, DMS Proficiency, Cost Estimation, Microsoft Office, Technical Report Writing
Customer Empathy, Active Listening, Persuasive Sales, Time Management, Interpersonal Skills
Education: Diploma or B.E. in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering; ITI candidates with significant experience may apply.
Experience: 1 to 3 years in a customer-facing service role within the automotive industry.
Certifications: OEM Technical Certification, Soft Skills Training Certificate
On-site at an authorized service center with a standard 6-day work week (9.30 AM to 6.30 PM).
Successful candidates can transition into Senior Service Advisor, Floor Supervisor, or Workshop Manager roles within the dealership network.
