This role involves overseeing the technical integrity of vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure they meet stringent OEM standards. The professional acts as the final checkpoint for safety and quality, bridging the gap between workshop technicians and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive final inspections and road tests on all serviced vehicles to verify repair quality.
- Cross-verify every task listed on the Job Card against the actual work performed by technicians.
- Identify and document any recurring technical issues or workmanship defects for immediate rectification.
- Maintain the Quality Control (QC) register and prepare daily reports on First Time Right (FTR) performance.
- Ensure all workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting machinery are calibrated and used correctly.
- Collaborate with the Service Advisor and Workshop Manager to prioritize urgent deliveries without compromising quality.
- Monitor adherence to shop floor Cleanliness, Health, and Safety (CHS) protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians based on QC findings.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license with a clean record for vehicle road testing.
- Expert-level understanding of engine diagnostics, electrical systems, and suspension work.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and digital diagnostic tools.
- Strong knowledge of OEM-specific service manuals and repair protocols.
- Excellent eye for detail and a zero-compromise attitude toward safety standards.
Preferred
- Previous experience with high-volume passenger car brands or luxury segments.
- Certification in Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt).
- Familiarity with Electric Vehicle (EV) safety and high-voltage diagnostic procedures.

Work Environment
