This leadership role involves driving the overall sales strategy and performance of the dealership while ensuring a premium customer experience. The focus is on managing a high-performing team of consultants, optimizing inventory turnover, and maintaining a robust relationship with the OEM to achieve market share growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Sales Consultants and Team Leaders to achieve monthly and quarterly retail targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales funnels, conversion ratios, and enquiry management through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Oversee the P&L of the sales department, including discount management, accessory sales, and finance/insurance penetration.
- Liaise with the OEM (Manufacturer) for inventory planning, product launches, and regional marketing activities.
- Conduct daily sales meetings to review pipeline health, test drive efficiency, and closing ratios.
- Ensure 100% compliance with brand standards and customer satisfaction (SSI) benchmarks set by the company.
- Implement local marketing initiatives and BTL activities to drive footfalls and lead generation.
- Manage the end-to-end customer delivery process to ensure a seamless and celebratory vehicle handover experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales volume and revenue targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian automotive market, competitor landscape, and consumer behavior.
- Expertise in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software for lead tracking.
- Strong understanding of automotive finance, insurance (IRDA), and RTO processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local regional language.
Preferred
- Experience working with a reputed Indian or International OEM dealership.
- Prior experience in managing luxury or premium vehicle segments.
- Certified in OEM-led management or leadership development programs.
- Strong network within local corporate circles and high-net-worth individuals.

Work Environment
On-site dealership environment; standard 6-day work week including weekends; requires local travel for corporate meets and events.
