This role involves driving dealership revenue by managing the complete customer journey from initial inquiry to final vehicle delivery. It focuses on identifying customer needs, providing expert product demonstrations, and ensuring a seamless purchase experience while maintaining high satisfaction standards.
Conduct proactive lead generation through cold calling, digital inquiries, and showroom walk-ins to build a robust sales pipeline
Perform professional vehicle demonstrations and accompany customers on test drives while explaining technical features and USPs
Manage the end-to-end sales process including price negotiation, documentation, and coordination with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department
Maintain accurate and timely data entry in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and CRM to track lead status and follow-ups
Achieve monthly and quarterly retail targets as defined by the OEM and dealership management
Ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores by providing excellent post-sales support and handling grievances effectively
Coordinate with the stockyard and PDI team to ensure the vehicle is ready for a defect-free delivery to the customer
Participate in outdoor marketing activities, corporate displays, and promotional events to increase brand visibility
Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience in automotive retail or high-value sales
Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for conducting test drives
Strong command over the local language and functional proficiency in English
Proficiency in using CRM software and basic Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work in a target-driven environment with a flexible approach to working hours
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle diverse customer profiles
Prior experience working with authorized OEM dealerships
Knowledge of automotive financing, insurance processes, and RTO documentation
Existing network of corporate clients or local influencers
Dealer Management System (DMS) operation, Vehicle technical specification analysis, CRM Lead Management, Product Comparison Benchmarking
Persuasive Communication, Active Listening, Problem-Solving, Time Management, Customer Relationship Management
Education: Graduate in any stream (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA) or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Sales, preferably in the Automotive or BFSI sector
Certifications: OEM Sales Process Certification (preferred), Test Drive Safety Certification
On-site showroom environment; 6 days a week with a rotational week-off; standard shift timings from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
High-performing consultants can transition into Senior Sales Consultant roles, followed by Team Leader and Sales Manager positions within the dealership network or OEM operations.
