This role focuses on driving retail sales by identifying potential customers and guiding them through the vehicle purchasing journey. It involves managing the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation and product demonstration to final delivery and post-sales follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage showroom walk-ins and digital leads to achieve monthly retail targets and booking quotas.
- Conduct professional product demonstrations and organized test drives to highlight vehicle features and safety USPs.
- Facilitate the finance and insurance process by coordinating with internal F&I teams and external banking partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and follow-ups in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Execute field activities, corporate visits, and local marketing events to expand the customer database and generate organic leads.
- Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction (CSI) by providing a transparent and premium buying experience from booking to delivery.
- Coordinate with the workshop and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) team to ensure timely and error-free vehicle delivery to the customer.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to effectively handle customer objections and price negotiations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in automotive retail sales within a dealership environment.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for conducting test drives.
- Proficiency in the local language and functional English for effective customer communication.
- Strong understanding of the Indian automotive market, including taxation and registration processes.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment with a focus on monthly closures.
- Hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or OEM-specific platforms.
Preferred
- Experience working with a Tier-1 or Tier-2 passenger vehicle OEM dealership.
- Deep knowledge of retail finance schemes, EMI calculations, and insurance documentation.
- Proven track record of achieving 'Star Performer' or equivalent sales excellence awards.
