This role focuses on performing routine vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical repairs under the guidance of senior technical staff. You will ensure that all service activities adhere to the manufacturer's quality standards while maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services (PMS) including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups as per the job card.
- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using basic diagnostic tools and manual inspection.
- Execute minor repairs on brake systems, suspension, and exhaust components while following OEM standard operating procedures.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring they are stored correctly after use.
- Document all tasks performed, parts replaced, and time taken accurately in the workshop management system.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the assigned work bay and the customer's vehicle throughout the repair process.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Attend mandatory technical training sessions provided by the OEM to upgrade skills on new vehicle models.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines and automotive components.
- Ability to handle basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments.
- Physical fitness and stamina to work in a standing position for extended durations.
- Strong discipline and a willingness to learn in a high-pressure environment.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Basic understanding of Hindi or the local language.
Preferred
- Prior apprenticeship or internship experience at an authorized automobile service center.
- Familiarity with basic digital tablets or computers for logging work.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and multi-meter usage.

Qualifications
Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV), Diesel Mechanic, or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: ITI NCVT/SCVT Certificate, Any basic OEM vocational training is a plus
