Technician

This role is responsible for executing high-quality vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and periodic maintenance services to ensure peak performance and safety for customer vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic scanners and tools.

• Execute major component overhauls including engine, gearbox, and suspension systems.

• Ensure all repair work is documented accurately on job cards and internal workshop management systems.

• Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure proper maintenance of specialized tools and equipment.

• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and ensure the elimination of customer-reported issues.

• Collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide technical explanations and cost estimates for additional repairs found.

• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices to maintain overall workshop productivity and skill levels.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized dealership or premium multi-brand workshop.

• In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmission systems, and vehicle electronics.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and service bulletins.

• Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle test drives.

• Physical stamina to work in a demanding workshop environment for 6 days a week.

Preferred

• Prior experience In Dealership like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra.

• Basic certification or training in Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety and components.

• Experience in wheel alignment, balancing, and tire-related equipment operation.

Qualifications

Education: ITI in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing.

Certifications: ITI Trade Certificate, OEM Technical Certification (Level 2 or higher), Pollution Under Control (PUC) operation certificate (Optional)

Work Environment

Standard authorized workshop setting with a 6-day work week. The role requires working with heavy machinery and following strict safety protocols.
