This role focuses on maintaining the financial health of the dealership through meticulous record-keeping and strict adherence to statutory compliance. It involves bridging the gap between operational transactions and executive financial reporting, ensuring all automotive sales, service, and spare parts entries are reconciled accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and cash management in Tally or DMS.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, and perform monthly reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B.
- Handle TDS deductions, monthly payments, and quarterly return filings while ensuring compliance with Income Tax regulations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify OEM incentive claims, credit notes, and spare parts inventory accounts.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for management review and operational analysis.
- Oversee payroll processing, including PF and ESI contributions for the dealership workforce.
- Assist in internal and statutory audits by preparing necessary schedules and providing required documentation.
- Monitor aging of receivables and coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely collection of customer dues and insurance claims.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of core accounting experience, preferably within the automotive or retail sectors.
- Expertise in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Thorough understanding of Indian taxation including GST, TDS, and Professional Tax.
- Experience in handling Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for inventory and sales accounting.
- Proven ability to manage bank reconciliations and vendor payments independently.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation as per Indian Accounting Standards.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with authorized automobile dealerships for leading OEMs.
- Familiarity with SAP FICO or Oracle financial modules.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and payroll compliance in the Indian context.

Qualifications
Education: B.Com or M.Com from a recognized university; CA Inter or CMA Inter candidates are highly preferred.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based at the dealership office. The standard work week is 6 days, typically from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with high activity periods during month-end and year-end closing.
