This role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of vehicle components and accessories within our dealership operations. It focuses on optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement from OEMs, and supporting the service team to minimize vehicle turnaround times while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.
Manage daily inventory operations including receiving, binning, and issuing parts to the workshop and counter customers.
Monitor stock levels using the Dealer Management System (DMS) to prevent stock-outs of critical components and avoid overstocking.
Coordinate with OEM suppliers and authorized vendors for timely procurement of genuine parts and high-demand accessories.
Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
Lead and mentor a small team of parts assistants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department.
Analyze sales trends and workshop demand to forecast requirements for seasonal parts and fast-moving items.
Maintain clean and organized warehouse spaces following 5S principles to ensure safety and easy retrieval of parts.
Generate monthly reports on inventory turnover, obsolete stock, and departmental profitability for the management team.
1-3 years of proven experience in automotive parts management or warehouse operations within an authorized dealership.
Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or MS Excel for inventory tracking.
Strong technical understanding of automotive components, assemblies, and part numbering systems.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in documentation and stock handling.
Effective communication skills in the local language and English to interact with technicians and suppliers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines for part fulfillment.
Prior experience working with leading Indian passenger or commercial vehicle brands (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai).
Knowledge of inventory management techniques like ABC analysis and Just-In-Time (JIT) procurement.
A valid four-wheeler driving license.
