This role is responsible for ensuring all brand-new vehicles meet the highest quality standards before being handed over to customers. It involves meticulous inspection of mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic components to guarantee a defect-free delivery experience and uphold the brand's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections (PDI) following the strict OEM checklist and standards.
- Identify and report any mechanical defects, paint imperfections, or electrical malfunctions in new inventory.
- Perform basic fluid level checks, battery health monitoring, and tire pressure adjustments for all incoming vehicles.
- Install standard accessories and ensure proper fitment according to specific sales orders and customer requirements.
- Update the Dealer Management System (DMS) with detailed inspection reports and vehicle readiness status.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and Sales Team to ensure timely vehicle readiness for scheduled deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness in the PDI bay and adhere to all workshop safety and environmental protocols.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation, including warranty booklets and manuals, are placed correctly inside the vehicle.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a PDI or technician role at an authorized automotive dealership.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and basic testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and OEM checklists.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced workshop environment with a 6-day work week.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a major OEM brand (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors).
- Familiarity with digital Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for reporting.
- Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety.

Qualifications

Work Environment
Standard automotive workshop environment; 6-day work week (9 AM - 6 PM); On-site role requiring physical activity including standing and bending.
