This role is responsible for executing high-quality vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs according to manufacturer standards. It ensures customer safety and vehicle reliability through diligent inspection and timely service delivery within a high-volume authorized workshop environment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks as per the service schedule.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners and specialized workshop tools.
Execute major and minor repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, and braking systems according to Repair Orders (RO).
Complete all assigned tasks within the specified Standard Labor Time (SLT) to maintain workshop efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work bay while strictly adhering to workshop safety and environmental protocols.
Document all work performed, parts used, and technical observations accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Conduct final inspections and road tests to ensure the quality of repairs and vehicle safety before delivery to the customer.
Identify and report any additional repair requirements discovered during the service process to the Service Advisor.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and circuit diagrams.
Valid four-wheeler driving license to conduct mandatory road tests.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet daily production targets.
Physical stamina to handle heavy workshop equipment and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
Previous experience with a major OEM brand (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
Specific knowledge of BS6 engine technology and electronic fuel injection systems.
Familiarity with wheel alignment, balancing, and tire changing equipment.

Certifications: OEM Level 1 or Level 2 Technical Certification, Basic Safety Training Certificate
Standard 6-day work week in an on-site workshop environment. Typical shift timings are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with required adherence to workshop safety gear (PPE).
Opportunity to advance to Senior Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, or Service Advisor roles based on performance and completion of advanced OEM technical training modules.
