This role involves spearheading the strategic expansion and market penetration of the electric vehicle portfolio to establish market leadership. It focuses on driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, robust dealership network management, and alignment with national green mobility goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive annual sales plans and market entry strategies specifically for the EV segment across assigned territories.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team to achieve aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual volume targets.
- Manage and expand the dealer network, ensuring strict adherence to OEM brand standards and world-class customer experience.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and evolving government subsidies such as FAME-II and state-specific EV policies to optimize pricing and promotions.
- Oversee the entire Sales Funnel management via CRM, ensuring high conversion rates from initial inquiry to final vehicle delivery.
- Foster strategic relationships with corporate clients, fleet operators, and institutional buyers to secure large-scale bulk orders.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement targeted lead generation campaigns and successful new product launches.
- Monitor the department's P&L, optimizing operational costs while maximizing overall profitability and market share.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the automotive sales industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets within the Indian automotive landscape.
- In-depth knowledge of the EV ecosystem, including charging infrastructure, battery technology, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong existing network within the automotive dealer community and corporate procurement sectors.
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel extensively for market development and dealer audits.
Preferred
- Direct experience in the Electric Vehicle (2W, 4W, or CV) industry during its growth phase.
- Experience in setting up Greenfield dealership networks and franchise management.
- Hands-on experience with advanced CRM tools like Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle.
