Acts as the primary bridge between the customer and the workshop team to ensure high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services. This professional is responsible for understanding customer concerns, providing accurate cost estimations, and ensuring timely delivery of vehicles while maintaining high satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and conducting a thorough joint inspection of the vehicle to identify repair needs and secondary service requirements.
- Opening Job Cards in the Dealer Management System (DMS) with detailed descriptions of customer complaints and required services.
- Providing accurate cost estimates and timelines for repairs while explaining technical issues in simple terms to customers.
- Coordinating with the workshop floor supervisor and technicians to track the progress of vehicles and ensure repair quality.
- Promoting value-added services, genuine spare parts, and extended warranties to enhance vehicle performance and dealership revenue.
- Conducting final inspections and quality checks before vehicle delivery to ensure all customer complaints have been addressed.
- Handling customer queries and grievances professionally to maintain a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Post Service Follow-up (PSF) scores.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an authorized automobile dealership.
- Diploma or ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent command over the local language and functional proficiency in English.
- Proven hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline, SAP, or OEM-specific software.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for vehicle movement and testing.
- Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and maintenance schedules.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with major Indian OEMs (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools and electronic control modules.
- Certification in customer handling or service excellence from a recognized training institute.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based in a fast-paced dealership workshop environment. Standard working hours follow a 6-day week schedule, typically from 9:30 AM to 7 PM.
