This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical repairs and routine maintenance services within an authorized dealership environment. It involves ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and reliability while strictly adhering to OEM service standards and workshop protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake servicing as per the job card.
- Utilize OEM-specific diagnostic tools and scanners to identify complex engine and transmission faults.
- Maintain the workshop bay area according to 5S standards to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and additional repair recommendations accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Conduct thorough test drives and post-repair inspections to ensure the highest quality of service before vehicle delivery.
- Assist senior technicians in engine overhauls, suspension work, and major component replacements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous materials.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Ability to operate workshop machinery including lifts, air tools, and alignment machines.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle test drives.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a 6-day work week.
- Basic understanding of digital diagnostic tools and computerized inventory systems.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with major Indian OEMs (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
- Basic certification or training in Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety and components.
- Previous exposure to multi-brand vehicle servicing.

Certifications: OEM Level 1/2 Technician Certification, Safety Compliance Certification
Work Environment
On-site at an authorized workshop facility. Standard 6-day work week, usually 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Physical stamina is required for long periods of standing and lifting.
Growth Opportunities
Technicians have a clear path to Senior Technician or Master Technician roles. High-performing individuals may also transition into Service Advisor or Workshop Supervisor positions based on performance and internal training completion.
