This role involves leading a high-performing sales team to achieve monthly volume targets and ensure exceptional customer experiences at an authorized automotive dealership. It focuses on optimizing the sales funnel, from lead generation to vehicle delivery, while maintaining strict adherence to OEM standards and compliance protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Consultants to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for new vehicles.
- Monitor and manage the end-to-end lead lifecycle within the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure high conversion ratios.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review pipelines, track test drive ratios, and address roadblocks in the sales process.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to provide seamless one-stop solutions to customers.
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to provide actionable insights for sales promotion strategies.
- Ensure 100% compliance with the OEM’s sales process and maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Manage vehicle inventory levels in coordination with the stockyard and logistics teams to minimize aging.
- Facilitate corporate tie-ups and organize local promotional events or mobile displays to increase walk-ins.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of proven experience in automotive sales or a related high-value retail sector.
- Excellent command over the local language and English for effective customer communication.
- In-depth understanding of the Indian automotive market and customer buying behavior.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Must possess a valid four-wheeler driving license and be comfortable with field visits.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills specific to the Indian retail context.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a reputed OEM dealership (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.).
- Proven track record of managing a small team or acting as a Team Lead.
- Understanding of automotive financing and insurance documentation.

Work Environment
On-site at an authorized dealership showroom. Standard 6-day work week with rotational offs. Requires high energy and presence during peak hours and weekends.
