This role involves performing high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure vehicle safety and peak performance. It focuses on diagnosing technical issues and executing routine maintenance tasks according to strict manufacturer standards within a high-volume authorized service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services, general repairs, and minor engine overhauls as per the Job Card instructions.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-standard diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Execute repairs related to brakes, suspension, steering, and transmission systems with high precision.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle and the workspace while adhering to workshop safety protocols.
- Document all repairs, parts used, and labor hours accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Conduct final road tests after repairs to verify vehicle performance and ensure zero-defect delivery.
- Collaborate with the Service Advisor and Floor Supervisor to meet daily vehicle delivery timelines.
- Participate in technical training sessions provided by the OEM to stay updated on new vehicle models and technologies.
Requirements
- Possess a valid ITI or Diploma in Motor Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized car or two-wheeler workshop.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license to perform test drives.
- Basic understanding of vehicle electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work in a 6-day work week schedule with standard workshop shifts.
Preferred
- Previous experience with major Indian OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra, or Hyundai.
- Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety.
- Familiarity with wheel alignment and balancing machinery.
- Certification in specialized areas like Air Conditioning or advanced engine diagnostics.

Work Environment
The role is based on-site at an authorized workshop, involving physical activity and exposure to standard garage equipment. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 6 days a week.
Growth Opportunities
Successful candidates can progress to Senior Technician, Master Technician, or Floor Supervisor roles. High-performing individuals may eventually move into Workshop Management or Technical Trainer positions within the group network.
