This role involves managing the end-to-end accident repair process by acting as the primary liaison between customers, insurance companies, and the technical workshop team. It focuses on providing accurate damage assessments, facilitating seamless insurance claims, and ensuring high-quality vehicle restoration within committed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of accidental vehicles and prepare detailed repair estimates using Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors for timely inspections, documentation, and claim approvals to minimize repair delays.
- Explain technical repair procedures, costs, and insurance liabilities clearly to customers while providing regular status updates.
- Liaise with the Bodyshop Foreman and technicians to prioritize workflow and ensure adherence to OEM quality standards.
- Manage the procurement of required spare parts with the inventory department to ensure work continuity.
- Handle final billing, insurance excess collections, and the completion of all documentation for cashless or reimbursement claims.
- Conduct final quality checks before vehicle delivery and perform post-repair follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high workshop productivity by monitoring the turnaround time (TAT) for every vehicle in the bodyshop.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an authorized automotive bodyshop or service center.
- Comprehensive knowledge of car body structures, denting, and painting processes.
- Hands-on experience with insurance claim procedures and surveyor coordination.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or GDS.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license.
- Strong command over the local language and functional English communication.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and demanding customer queries.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Familiarity with IRDA guidelines and insurance policy terms.
- Technical certification from an OEM for bodyshop operations.
