This role is responsible for executing high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs while ensuring vehicles meet OEM safety and performance standards. The focus is on providing efficient maintenance services and accurate diagnostics to drive customer satisfaction and minimize repeat complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake system overhauls as per the job card.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Execute major repairs on engines, transmissions, and suspension systems within the stipulated Standard Labor Time (SLT).
- Maintain high standards of workshop hygiene and bay cleanliness in accordance with 5S principles.
- Document all technical findings, parts used, and labor hours accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and ensure the vehicle is safe for customer delivery.
- Collaborate with the Service Advisor and Workshop Manager to provide technical explanations and cost estimates for additional repairs found during inspection.
- Ensure the correct usage and maintenance of all specialized workshop tools and equipment.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
- Thorough understanding of BS-VI engine technology and modern automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic reports.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle test drives.
- Physical stamina to work in a workshop environment for 6 days a week.
Preferred
- Prior experience with major OEM brands (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
- Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety protocols.
- Exposure to wheel alignment, balancing, and tire changing equipment.

Work Environment
Standard authorized workshop setting; 6-day work week (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM); involves physical labor and use of safety PPE.
