This role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on vehicles while ensuring strict adherence to OEM standards. It focuses on delivering high-quality workmanship to enhance vehicle reliability and ensure customer safety within a high-volume workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic maintenance services (PMS) and general repairs as per the job card instructions.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners and tools.
- Execute complex repairs including engine overhauling, suspension work, and brake system overhauling.
- Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the parts department for timely procurement.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned work bay and ensure all workshop tools are handled with care.
- Perform final road tests to verify the quality of repairs and ensure the vehicle is fit for delivery.
- Ensure 100% compliance with workshop safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document all work performed and parts replaced accurately within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Requirements
- ITI or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized OEM dealership workshop.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Valid two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving license.
- Basic understanding of BS6 engine technology and emission standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical circuit diagrams.
Preferred
- OEM-specific technical certification from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, or Mahindra.
- Prior experience working with Electric Vehicle (EV) components or high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of local language to communicate effectively with shop-floor supervisors.

Qualifications
