Oversee the entire financial operations of the dealership, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and OEM standards. This role manages financial reporting, tax filings, and internal audits to maintain the fiscal health of the automotive business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9) and TDS/TCS compliance specific to vehicle sales and service.
- Oversee the Dealer Management System (DMS) financial modules and ensure data integrity between DMS and Tally Prime.
- Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for management and OEM review.
- Coordinate with banks for working capital management, inventory funding (floor planning), and LC/BG requirements.
- Manage payroll processing and statutory dues like PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax for all dealership staff.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of vehicle inventory and spare parts in coordination with the workshop manager.
- Facilitate internal and statutory audits, ensuring all documentation meets corporate and legal standards.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of core accounting experience, preferably in an automobile dealership or high-volume retail environment.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations in India.
- In-depth knowledge of financial audit procedures and finalization of accounts.
- Strong understanding of OEM billing processes and incentive structures.
- Experience in leading a team of junior accountants and cashiers.
Preferred
- Experience with industry-standard DMS software such as SAP, Autoline, or Oracle.
- Previous experience working with authorized 4-wheeler or 2-wheeler dealerships.
- Knowledge of vehicle financing and insurance commission accounting.

Qualifications
Education: B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter / CMA Inter

Work Environment
Standard on-site dealership office, 6 days a week, 10 AM - 7 PM.
