Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, according to OEM standards.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Execute major repairs involving engine overhauls, transmission systems, and suspension components.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed and parts replaced in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Ensure all workshop tools and equipment are kept in optimal working condition and calibrated regularly.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide technical explanations for necessary repairs to customers.
- Strictly adhere to workshop safety protocols, including the correct handling of hazardous materials and waste disposal.
- Participate in OEM-led technical training sessions to stay updated on new vehicle models and technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
- Proficiency in using OBD-II scanners and other modern diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driving license for four-wheelers and/or two-wheelers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of engine mechanics, fuel systems, and automotive electronics.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy tools and work in a workshop environment for extended hours.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with major Indian OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, or Mahindra.
- Basic certification or training in Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage safety.
- Familiarity with 5S workplace organizational methods.
- Knowledge of multi-brand vehicle repair and diagnostics.
