This role involves driving vehicle sales by providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise throughout the car buying journey. It requires proactive lead generation, conducting professional product demonstrations, and ensuring a seamless delivery experience for every customer within a high-performance dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial inquiry and lead generation to final vehicle delivery.
- Conduct professional test drives and provide detailed product demonstrations highlighting key features, safety ratings, and USPs.
- Maintain and update the Dealer Management System (DMS) and CRM with accurate customer data, follow-up status, and lead pipeline.
- Coordinate closely with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) team to facilitate loan processing and insurance documentation for customers.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as defined by the dealership management while maintaining profit margins.
- Handle customer queries and objections effectively to ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores.
- Assist in showroom floor management and participate in outdoor marketing activities, corporate displays, and local events.
- Provide regular reports on market trends, competitor activity, and lost cases to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in retail sales, preferably within the automotive or high-value retail sector.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for conducting customer test drives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and the local regional language.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a retail environment.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and basic MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a major automotive OEM dealership.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive technical specifications and current Indian market trends.
- Experience in handling premium vehicle segments or corporate sales.
- Certification in sales training from a recognized automotive body or OEM.
