Technician

This role focuses on delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical repair services while adhering to strict manufacturer guidelines. It involves diagnosing complex vehicle issues and ensuring every vehicle serviced meets the highest safety and performance standards before delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance services (PMS) and general mechanical repairs as per the instructions on the job card.

• Diagnose technical, electrical, and mechanical faults using computerized diagnostic scanners and manual inspection tools.

• Execute engine, transmission, suspension, and brake system overhauls with high precision and adherence to safety protocols.

• Ensure the cleanliness of the assigned work bay and maintain all special tools and workshop equipment in good condition.

• Accurately document all repairs performed, parts replaced, and time spent in the dealership management system (DMS).

• Conduct final quality inspections and road tests to verify that the customer's complaints have been fully resolved.

• Collaborate with Service Advisors and Floor Supervisors to provide technical insights and repair recommendations for customers.

• Participate in OEM-led technical training sessions to stay updated on new vehicle models and technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive dealership workshop.

• Proficiency in using pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and multi-brand diagnostic scanners.

• Strong understanding of automotive systems including IC engines, electrical circuits, and hydraulics.

• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with strict turnaround times.

Education: ITI (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 1 to 3 years in automotive service and repair.

Work Environment

Standard dealership workshop environment with a 6-day work week. Typical shift timings are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
