This role involves performing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services while ensuring strict adherence to manufacturer safety and quality standards. The focus is on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues accurately to minimize vehicle downtime and enhance customer satisfaction within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Execute routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks according to OEM schedules.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspensions.
Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and scanners to identify electronic faults and sensor malfunctions.
Ensure all repair work is completed within the stipulated Turnaround Time (TAT) to maintain workshop productivity.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and equipment are handled with care and stored correctly.
Document all work performed, parts used, and additional repair recommendations clearly on the job card.
Collaborate with Service Advisors and Team Leaders to provide technical insights for customer queries.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
Proficiency in using standard workshop tools, pneumatic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and stand for long durations.
Working knowledge of local language and basic English for reading manuals.
Prior experience working with a major OEM brand (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors).
Knowledge of BS-VI engine technology and emission control systems.
Certification in Wheel Alignment and Balancing or Air Conditioning systems.

Certifications: OEM Basic Training Certification, Safety & Fire Hazards Training
Standard 6-day work week on the workshop floor, following shifts typically from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Opportunities to advance to Senior Technician or Master Technician roles, or transition into Service Advisor and Team Leader positions through OEM-led certification programs.
