This role involves overseeing the entire insurance portfolio of the dealership, ensuring seamless issuance of new policies and maximizing renewal rates. It acts as a critical bridge between customers, insurance companies, and the service department to facilitate smooth claim processing and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end insurance renewal process to ensure high retention of the existing customer base.
- Oversee the issuance of new vehicle insurance policies and ensure error-free documentation within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Coordinate with multiple insurance partners to negotiate competitive quotes and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Assist customers in the claim settlement process, coordinating with the workshop and surveyors for timely approvals and cashless facilities.
- Monitor and report on monthly insurance penetration, commission tracking, and payout reconciliations.
- Ensure 100% compliance with IRDA guidelines and internal dealership audit standards.
- Train the sales and service teams on various insurance products and add-on covers to drive value-added sales.
- Analyze market trends and competitor insurance offerings to provide strategic recommendations to the management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive insurance management within a dealership environment.
- In-depth knowledge of motor insurance products, add-on covers (Zero Dep, RTI, Engine Protect), and claim procedures.
- Valid IRDA Composite Broker or Specified Person (SP) certification.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent understanding of the Indian motor insurance regulatory landscape.
- Proven track record of meeting renewal and penetration targets.
Preferred
- Experience handling insurance for high-volume or luxury automotive brands.
- Knowledge of cashless tie-ups and garage network management.
- Exposure to digital insurance portals and automated renewal platforms.

Qualifications
