This role focuses on leading a dedicated team of sales consultants to achieve retail targets through meticulous lead management and superior customer engagement. It requires a balance of operational oversight and hands-on coaching to drive conversion ratios and maintain high service standards within the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Relationship Managers to achieve monthly and quarterly retail and wholesale targets.
- Monitor daily lead management activities in the Dealer Management System (DMS) to ensure 100% follow-up compliance.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review team pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and strategize on hot leads.
- Oversee the customer enquiry-to-delivery process, ensuring all documentation for finance and insurance is processed accurately.
- Manage customer escalations effectively to maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores.
- Analyze team performance data to identify training needs and provide on-the-job coaching for closing deals.
- Coordinate with the stockyard and workshop teams to ensure vehicle readiness for scheduled deliveries.
- Ensure the team adheres to OEM-mandated sales processes, including mandatory test drive offerings and digital lead updates.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized Indian university.
- Proven experience in automotive sales with a deep understanding of dealership operations.
- Proficiency in operating Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and functional English.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales reports and conversion funnels.
- Must possess a valid permanent four-wheeler driving license.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
Preferred
- MBA in Marketing or Sales Management.
- Prior experience in a Senior Sales Consultant or acting Team Leader role.
- In-depth knowledge of local automotive market trends and competitor pricing.

Work Environment
Standard dealership showroom environment, 6 days a week (9:30 AM - 6:30 PM), requiring on-site presence and occasional travel for outdoor sales events.
