Senior Accountant

This position oversees the financial integrity of our automotive dealership operations, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end accounting processes and provide actionable financial insights to support the dealership's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Oversee GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns and reconciliation of input tax credit.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for annual statutory audits and tax assessments.
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and dealership fund management to ensure operational liquidity.
• Collaborate with the sales and service departments to ensure seamless integration of billing and revenue recognition.
• Monitor dealership expenses and provide variance analysis against budgets to the management team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime and advanced MS Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of GST regulations, TDS provisions, and Income Tax laws.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
• Experience in managing dealership-specific accounting software or DMS systems.

Preferred

• Prior experience working in an authorized automobile dealership or service center.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems used by major OEMs.
• Exposure to working with vehicle financing partners and insurance reconciliation.

Qualifications

Education: B.Com/M.Com or CA Inter

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based at our dealership facility, operating 6 days a week with a standard corporate shift timing of 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The role requires interaction with various department heads and constant adherence to strict financial deadlines.
