Job Description

This role is responsible for driving excellence across our sales force by designing and delivering high-impact training programs that align with organizational objectives. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the competency of our sales teams through classroom sessions, on-the-job coaching, and the implementation of innovative sales methodologies tailored for the Indian automotive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct comprehensive induction and product training programs for new sales consultants and executives.
  • Execute continuous training modules on sales processes, objection handling, and closing techniques to improve conversion rates.
  • Monitor showroom floor performance and provide real-time feedback to the sales team to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze sales performance data and CRM reports to identify training gaps and design targeted development interventions.
  • Facilitate role-play sessions and mock test-drive scenarios to build confidence and customer-centricity in the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the dealership leadership team to align training initiatives with monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage the training calendar and maintain accurate records of employee development and assessment scores.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales training, preferably within the Indian automobile or retail sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, including lead management and digital enquiry handling.
  • Proven track record of improving sales team performance through structured training and coaching.
  • Ability to travel to various dealership locations within the assigned region.
  • Strong command of English and the relevant local regional language for effective communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel for reporting.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in managing a sales team as a Team Leader or Sales Manager.
  • Certification in professional training or instructional design.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce, Zoho, or OEM-specific dealer management systems.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate degree in any discipline; MBA in Marketing or HR is highly preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in training or automotive sales management.

Certifications: Train the Trainer certification, Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license
