This role serves as the highest level of technical authority within the workshop, responsible for diagnosing complex vehicle issues that standard technicians cannot resolve. You will act as a technical mentor to the service team while ensuring all repairs meet stringent OEM quality standards and safety protocols.
Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems using OEM-specific diagnostic tools.
Repair complex engine, transmission, and drivetrain failures to ensure first-time-right service.
Mentor and provide hands-on technical guidance to junior technicians and trainees in the workshop.
Review and sign off on quality control checks for high-priority or critical vehicle repairs.
Liaise with OEM technical support teams regarding recurring faults or complex warranty claims.
Maintain workshop tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Document technical findings accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS) for historical records.
Stay updated with the latest service bulletins, recall notices, and technical training modules provided by the OEM.
5-8 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive service center.
In-depth knowledge of modern automobile architecture, including fuel injection and ECU systems.
Proven ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
Fluency in English and the local regional language.
Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license depending on the vehicle segment.
Willingness to work in a high-pressure workshop environment with strict turnaround times.
Experience with luxury or high-performance vehicle segments.
Prior exposure to EV (Electric Vehicle) diagnostic protocols.
Ability to handle customer escalations in the service bay when required.
Advanced Engine Diagnostics, Automotive Electrical Troubleshooting, DMS Proficiency (e.g., SAP, Autoline), OEM Diagnostic Tool Operation, Precision Measurement and Calibration

Education: Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Motor Vehicle Mechanic) with relevant advanced training.
Experience: 5-8 years of progressive experience as a technician in an authorized automotive dealership.
This is an on-site, full-time role based in a modern automotive workshop. The work involves 6 days a week with standard shift timings, typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, subject to service load.
