This role focuses on driving technical excellence through advanced diagnostics and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures within the workshop. It involves mentoring a team of technicians to ensure high-quality repairs while maintaining alignment with OEM technological standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex root cause analysis and diagnostics using specialized tools and OEM-mandated SOPs to resolve persistent vehicle issues.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing on-the-job training, performance management, and technical guidance.
- Plan and oversee vehicle repair schedules to ensure all work is completed on time, within scope, and meets stringent quality standards.
- Generate comprehensive technical reports and collaborate with the OEM technical team to address and resolve product-level issues.
- Conduct internal skill mapping and deliver training modules to upgrade the technical proficiency of the workshop staff.
- Coordinate closely with the Quality Control team to perform final inspections and ensure zero-defect delivery to customers.
- Enforce strict compliance with workshop safety regulations and environmental standards during all technical activities.
- Manage workshop resources and diagnostic equipment to optimize throughput and maintain operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in automotive diagnostics and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating a technical team.
- Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills in English.
- Hands-on proficiency with modern diagnostic scanners, multi-meters, and oscilloscope tools.
- Deep understanding of engine management systems, transmissions, and vehicle electronics.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with Mahindra or other major Indian OEM authorized service centers.
- Experience in managing workshop floor operations and technician productivity.
- Knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) architecture and high-voltage safety systems.

Qualifications
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma in Automobile Engineering with equivalent experience.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an authorized automotive workshop, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead technician role.
Certifications: OEM Master Technician Certification, ASDC Level 5/6 Certification, Valid Four-Wheeler Driving License
Work Environment
Standard 6-day work week in a modern, high-tech workshop environment. Standard shift timings are typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Growth Opportunities
Candidates can progress to Workshop Manager or Service Manager roles. High performers may also transition into OEM-level technical training or regional technical support positions.
