Job Description

This role involves managing the end-to-end vehicle repair process for accidental damages while ensuring seamless coordination between insurance providers and customers. It acts as a critical bridge between the workshop floor and the client, focusing on accurate damage estimation and timely delivery of repaired vehicles to maintain high brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections for accidental damage and prepare detailed repair estimates using OEM guidelines.
  • Coordinate with insurance surveyors for timely inspection, documentation, and approval of cashless or reimbursement claims.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair progress, parts availability, and expected delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all documentation for insurance claims is accurate and compliant with IRDA norms and company policies.
  • Liaise with the workshop floor team to prioritize body and paint work to meet promised delivery dates and quality standards.
  • Manage the Dealer Management System (DMS) for job card opening, inventory tracking, and final billing.
  • Handle customer grievances effectively to maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
  • Identify and recommend value-added services like ceramic coating or anti-rust treatments to customers during the estimation phase.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive bodyshop operations or insurance claim handling within an authorized dealership.
  • In-depth knowledge of automobile body parts, painting processes, and labor estimation techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of insurance company protocols, surveyor requirements, and claim settlement processes.
  • Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to handle insurance approvals and customer concerns.
  • Valid four-wheeler driving license for vehicle movement and testing within the workshop premises.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in a high-volume workshop.
  • Existing professional relationships with major insurance surveyors and regional claim managers.
  • Advanced certification in automotive body repair estimation or paint technology.

Certifications: OEM certification in Body & Paint, IRDA-related insurance training (preferred)

Work Environment

Standard 6-day work week in a high-paced, professional workshop environment. The role involves frequent movement between the customer lounge, workshop floor, and insurance coordination desk.
