This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, handling physical cash desk operations, and ensuring accurate ledger maintenance within a high-volume dealership environment. It serves as a vital link between customer-facing departments and the accounts office to ensure seamless financial reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash and cheque collections from vehicle sales, spare parts, and workshop service departments.
- Perform daily reconciliation of physical cash and bank receipts with the Dealer Management System (DMS) and Tally.
- Prepare daily collection reports and ensure all funds are deposited into the designated bank accounts promptly.
- Handle petty cash disbursements and maintain accurate records with supporting vouchers.
- Generate and process invoices for customers while ensuring compliance with GST and internal pricing policies.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing data for GST returns, TDS filings, and monthly financial statements.
- Maintain a systematic and secure filing system for all vouchers, bills, and financial correspondence.
- Coordinate with bank officials for statement updates, cheque clearances, and other banking operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in handling high-volume cash transactions and basic accounting functions.
- In-depth knowledge of Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Understanding of Indian taxation including GST and TDS basics.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure during peak billing hours.
- High level of integrity and transparency in financial dealings.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in an authorized automobile dealership (2W/4W/CV).
- Familiarity with industry-standard Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Knowledge of local language for effective communication with walk-in customers.

Qualifications

Work Environment
Standard 6-day work week in a professional dealership office environment. Standard shift timings typically from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
