This role involves managing the daily financial operations and statutory compliance of an authorized automotive dealership. It focuses on maintaining accurate ledgers, ensuring timely tax filings, and providing critical financial data to the management team to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in Tally ERP or Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and ensure timely payment of GST and TDS liabilities.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and verify physical stock against system records for vehicles and spare parts.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments while maintaining healthy relations with suppliers and OEMs.
- Oversee the collection of accounts receivable and follow up with corporate clients or insurance companies for outstanding dues.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for review by the Service and Sales Managers.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and OEM guidelines.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely deposit of PF, ESI, and Professional Tax.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of core accounting experience, preferably within a car or two-wheeler dealership.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime or Tally.ERP 9 and Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian GST regulations, TDS, and TCS procedures.
- Experience in handling bank reconciliation and inventory accounting.
- Strong understanding of the automotive retail business model and dealership operations.
- Ability to work on-site 6 days a week in a fast-paced retail environment.
Preferred
- Experience with OEM-specific Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Prior experience in handling vehicle financing and insurance accounting.
- CA Inter or equivalent professional qualification.

Qualifications
Education: B.Com or M.Com from a recognized university

Work Environment
Standard dealership office environment, 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), 10 AM to 7 PM.
